TIGER - PREFACE - RAFAEL LUDICANTI (ENGLISH VERSION BY THE AUTHOR)

PREFACE

I live in a country hostile to artists, and in an increasingly stupid world.

Upon turning eighteen, I vowed to live my twenties on the edge, and I've done more than that: I've pushed the entire universe around me beyond.

In his preface to Dorian Grey, Oscar Wilde says, beautifully, that the artist is the creator of beautiful things.

That's all you need to know about us.

Learn to do your work, and put yourselves in your proper places, for the greed that contaminates the human mind of my time is not only unacceptable, it was once inconceivable, and destroys hope with nauseating joy.

The artist's role is to fulfill his duty as an artist, and the artist's duty is to create works of art.

Nothing is more painful than wasting the preface to your own book.

Respect, therefore, this sacrifice, because I do not even recognize your right to read my writings, and for this very reason I publish them now, out of spite.

We are not friends.
